just got back from our 3 day 2 night break at the Lonsdale and it was faultless, room 11 fantastic staff and owner were so friendly and willing to see to your every need, we will be going back it was quite spectacular

Had a relaxing time at this lovely hotel. Staff very frienndly and helpful and it provides a great base to explore the Lake District. Would recommend highly.

10+....and we will come by for a cup off coffee when we are in the neighberhoood..

we have just spent the night at lonsdale the family room was fantastic. the food really good and the staff were absolutely fantastic.every where was clean and cosy. there was coffee biscuits and even sherry in our room. after staying in many hotels in this area we will never use another we can not wait to visit this lovely hotel again it made our stay special. thank you very much

We have stayed at Lonsdale House for the past three years and would not stay anywear else The rooms are cosy and clean and the breakfast is more than you can eat you are made very welcome by the lovely frendly staff

We stayed at Lonsdale House from Friday 27 April until Friday 4 May 2012. We were on our honeymoon and our stay made our honeymoon so special. Andrew was most welcoming and friendly and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was always clean and cosy, there were complimentary biscuits, sweets and sherry in the room, breakfast was lovely a full english well prepared and served promptly. Parts of the Lonsdale were being refurbished, this didn't spoil our stay there was no noise from the builders at all, our room faced Windermere and was very quiet. We would certainly return to Lonsdale House again

We stayed at Lonsdale House in 2010 for four nights en route for Scotland. We were so pleased with the accommodation. The room was comfortable and spacious. The view from the room was glorious, overlooking the lake and hills.The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The dining room was small but it meant we got to talk to the other guests, which added to the enjoyment of the stay. We were please we were able to walk around Bowness and also to the lakeside. It was an ideal spot to stay in the Lake District. We definitely hope to go back to Lonsdale House in the future.
