We stayed here in 2010 as part of a tour package. Everything about our stay was lovely. The room, staff, breakfast, and location more than met our expecations. Pawel even drove us 20 miles to the Oxenholme railway station on our last day. Will definitely stay there again when I return to the UK.

we were a family of 5 and found the room adequate for our short stay. I must say that Pawel who was managing our stay at the time was really fantastic and extremely helpful.He really made us feel really welcome from start to our departure. What an assett to any place. Thanx eo all the other staff as well. We enjoyed our stay. Loved everything we experienced and god willing we will be back again. I would definitely recommend the hotel to all my friends. Well done guys you are deserving of the highest praise.

We had a lovely stay in the Lonsdale, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, unfortunately we were only there for one night, so didn,t get names of any in particular, the room was cozy and comfortable, with a very comfortable four poster bed, our chocolate labrador was also welcome, and didn,t leave our side, even at breakfast, which was also very good, and set us up for the day, we will definitely return, hopefully next time for longer.

We had such an amazing time, the fourposter bed was beautiful. Such a friendly atmosphere, first time as a couple we have been away together! Shower was so hot and the breakfast was really nice!very romantic enchanting place, thank you for making our stay feel so welcoming xxxx

Thank you to Pawel and all the other staff at Lonsdale House for a fantastic holiday. We have been holidaying in the lakes for 15 years and we have finally found somewhere worth returning to. The room was spotlessly clean and we did not want to get out of the four poster bed it was that comfortable. It was worth setting up for the fantastic breakfast in the morning. We will definitely be returning and will recomend to friends and family

The Lonsdale House is an ideal location for shops & lake. Andrew was charming & helpful.Our double room overlooking the lake was spacious and clean.Our little dog Bambi was made welcome and was by our side the whole time even for the feast of a home cooked breakfast served by the lovely Monika.There was ample parking.

It was one of our best trips if not The best.
As per my experience, I felt the welcoming feeling from the first instant when I had contacted Andrew (The Boss) to arrange the booking.
All the staff were very helpful and supportive on our arrival and they did their best to make sure that everything is Ok.
The breakfast and the service during breakfast time was excellent as they tried their best to make sure that all guests are happy and got all what they need.
All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Lonsdale House to anyone who think to visit the Lake due to all above mentioned in addition to the proximity to the Windermere Lake.
Thanks Alot Andrew and all staff for your kindness and hospitality

i stop here on the 20th of jun for my humeymoon the room was realy nice the breafast was lush and my wife miss the cups of coffee in the moning lol and had a good time there i would love to come back again stop. and i would like to say a big thanks to all the staff there all were helpful to me and my wife. Here is a little poems just to say thank you.

Spent a fantastic two night break last week at The Lonsdale Hotel. Excellent hotel offering amazing breakfast and the most helpful and welcoming service I have ever received. Thanks to Andrew and the team who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. My 4 year old son didn't want to leave! We will definitely be back and have already been recommending it to all family and friends. A gem of a find. S xx
