23rd - 26th April 2010: My family, sister and her family and my parents have just had a great weekend in the Lonsdale House. The rooms are lovely, the staff very helpful and friendly especially Andrew ! Great breakfast, very child friendly, we would love to come and visit again. Thanks again.

stayed in the four poster room on a short break for my wifes birthday, andrew and his staff were among the most polite and helpful people we have stayed with. we will definately return for more of their wonderful hospitality, also breakfast is superb. thanks again andrew.

Lovely stay, Andrew and the team treated us so fabulously from the minute we arrived for our short break. The room with the Lake View was stunning and spacious especially as I am due any day now with my first baby. The whole break for us both was so special, brilliant nights sleep, yummy full breakfast to last you the day and excellant advice as to locations to visit and dine at. Even on an evening there is a lovely relaxed living room area if you just want a quiet drink at the hotel or like myself not been able to drink a lovely cuppa. We did not want to leave and will hoipefully be back for a walking holiday this year. Many thanks to Andrew and his team x

Just wanted to say thanks for our lovely stay...the hotel was perfect, the breakfast was totally delicious and our room with a view was beautiful..thanks again and we really hope we will be able to visit again.

Andrew and staff thanks again for a wonderful short break in the best part of Englnad. If William Wordsworth wandered today he would definetly stay at the Lonsdale Hotel and he would be on Cloud 9! You really need to stay here to appreciate the level of comfort and cleanliness. We will never get tired of returning to what really is a 'home away from home' for us. It's situated in an ideal location for visiting anywhere in the Lake District and is is close to all retaurants and local attractions making it a perfect stay in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Thanks for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. The staff were really helpful and did their best at all times to make us feel at home. I'd certainly recommend it to anybody visiting the lakes because of its location,clealiness and superb breakfast!

we both enjoyed the three night break to the lakes and it was a lovley hotel we stopped in breakfast was good and the service we could not fault our room was great with the four poster and spotless all the staff were very friendly and they all made you feel welcome will sure to be going back at some time would recommed to friends and family once again thanks for a special time

Very sadly just got back from our break away to The Lake district today.

Stayed at the Lonsdale for 2 nights and it was excellent. Can't speak highly enough about the Hotel, and more about Andrew. Such a friendly and welcoming owner, made us feel very comfortable.

Would recommend to anyone going upto the lakes, great hotel, great location and great staff.

Look forward to coming back Andrew :)

Enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at the Lonsdale, the room and the breakfast was excellent.
Fully recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in the Lakes, the staff are very welcoming and could not do enough for you.
